| Tourmaline is from a large family of beautiful stones that occur in every color of the rainbow and many different combinations of two and three-colored stones: pink-green (Watermelon), pink-green-blue, golden-green, and green-blue, for example. Each color has its own name, but often they are simply called by their color, such as red Tourmaline for Rubellite, blue Tourmaline for Indigolite, and green-pink Tourmaline for Watermelon Tourmaline. Today most Tourmalines come from Brazil, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Angola, Australia, Burma, India, Thailand, and some places in the United States such as California, Maine, New York, Connecticut, and Colorado. The Tourmaline Pendant is probably the favorite creation of my husband, Will. He loves to make unique and unusual pendants using Tourmaline in its natural form. |
