Rubellite: a Stone for the Heart

The Rubellite has a special place in my heart because I had my first enlightening experience with this stone and knew that the mystical powers of gemstones were for real! I was in a meditation with this stone and got flooded by the highest feelings of bliss, love and this sweetness permeating each and every cell of mine. I was love and all was well with the world! It was really amazing and set me on my spiritual path with the gemstones…

Rubellite Tourmaline comes from a large family of beautiful stones that occur in every color of the rainbow and many different combinations of two and three-colored stones: pink-green (Watermelon), pink-green-blue, golden-green, and green-blue, for example. Each color has its own name, but often they are simply called by their color, such as red Tourmaline for Rubellite, blue Tourmaline for Indigolite, and green-pink Tourmaline for Watermelon Tourmaline.

Today most Tourmalines come from Brazil, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Angola, Australia, Burma, India, Thailand, and some places in the United States such as California, Maine, New York, Connecticut, and Colorado.
