In my twenties when I started researching symbols, patterns, and forms used in the art and cultural history of humankind I was fascinated with the ubiquitousness of the spiral all over the world, in all cultures of all times: it is found in architecture, painting, sculpture, jewelry, and tattoos, and in religious teachings and esoteric scriptures. The spiral has permeated all levels of our human expression across the ages. I also found many spirals in nature: hurricanes, the movement of water in whirlpools, the Milky Way, the pattern of our hair growth, our DNA, and many more.

The spiral is such an archetypical pattern, it is so much a part of our consciousness, that it may be an important key to unlocking secret powers and knowledge from the depths of our unconscious minds.

The spiral is a symbol for the Journey of our Soul as used in the ancient science of astrology. The cyclical motion of the twelve signs of the zodiac creates a wheel of life, also manifested in the cycle of the seasons. That wheel leads to the next and then on to the next level of expansion and evolution. The spiral is a symbol of eternal evolution, since by design it goes on forever. It symbolizes the growth of our strength and virtues, transcending our animal nature and entering into the highest expression of divine consciousness on Earth.
