White Gold Wedding Bands with a Difference

The Classic: White Gold Wedding Bands!

Here we offer them with a different and new way of approaching the subject. A wedding band is a circle with no beginning and no end, a symbol of eternity. The circle symbolizes a couple's commitment and intention to be together always in a bond of marital love.

Generally we feel attracted to people who complement us, who represent aspects that are latent in ourselves. By being with someone who is living the qualities that we lack or have not yet discovered, we can learn about those qualities.

In a man's chart, Venus and the Moon represent the feminine aspect that he would like to integrate into his own personality. For a woman, the Sun and Mars position represent the male principle.

Wedding Rings Style / Engagement Rings

Engagement rings or wedding rings are a wonderful way to customize your personal style with your inner principles which you find important.

In general it is beneficial for a couple to wear stones that represent the male and female principles that they would like to integrate with each other. For example, a man might wish to wear a Moonstone, because the Moonstone represents the Moon and opens up the connection to the unconscious, the feminine, intuition, and creative potential.

When Venus or the Moon are in conjunction with Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, or Neptune (the 'hard' planets), you might expect challenges or friction and you will need to seek a gemstone with just the right signature to counteract those forces.

For a woman, wearing stones with the right signature for her Sun and Mars will help her to integrate the masculine principles. That might mean a balance in her assertiveness, creative expression, her physical and sexual energy, aggression, and personal will.

Design Wedding Rings

The heart-opening stones are wonderful to wear in a design wedding ring. I often recommend the Ruby for wedding bands. Ruby is the second hardest stone on the Mohs' hardness scale, which makes it a very durable stone and excellent for wedding bands. Ruby is also the stone of unconditional love and helps us to develop the potentials of the heart.

The Rubellite Tourmaline is also a beautiful heart-opening stone. Rubellite symbolizes unconditional love and teaches us self love. It has a hardness of 7 - 71/2, which is sufficient for a ring.

The Sapphire belongs to the corundum family like the Ruby. It is as hard and durable as the Ruby. Sapphires occur in a great many colors, including blue, yellow, pink, and orange. They symbolize different aspects of our enfoldment (the unfolding of the soul toward its highest potential) and make a wonderful companion on that journey.

The Diamond is one of the most beautiful stones of all. As we learned earlier, it has the highest reflection of light and is the hardest and most durable of all gems. The Diamond represents the life force of the Sun, the highest expression of light and consciousness in our solar system.

The Opal is the stone of the mystic, shaman, artist, and healer in us. It is a wonderful companion for a marriage consciously based on spiritual principles. It is a stone for support during times of transformation and intense change. The Opal needs to be handled with care. It is not a very durable stone and sensitive to chemicals, knocks, and pressure. If you choose an opal as an ally for your mutual process of growing together, you have to expect to exchange your stones once in a while.

In my wedding band, I have an Opal as a center stone with a Ruby and a Diamond as accent stones; I am wearing my second Opal in ten years of marriage.

Bamboo is an ancient symbol of longevity known for its durability and the fact that it stays green all year. It is used in Feng Shui to fend off negative energies and attract good fortune.

I have created a whole 'Bamboo Line' capturing the unique charm and beauty of this tropical plant. I especially like to use it for white gold wedding bands because of the symbolism of it. You can see all these rings and more at www.shaktijewelry.com/bamboo.html.
